Kannada actor Sharmiela Mandre gets engaged to producer Sudhan Sundaram

Bengaluru, Jun 29: Kannada actor and filmmaker Sharmiela Mandre has entered a new chapter in her personal life after getting engaged to producer Sudhan Sundaram.

The engagement ceremony was held in a private gathering in Bengaluru on June 25, attended by close family members and friends. The couple exchanged rings in a traditional celebration after receiving the blessings and approval of both families.

Sharmiela and Sudhan shared pictures from the special occasion on social media, where they were seen dressed in elegant traditional attire. Sharmiela wore an off-white saree, while Sudhan was seen in a matching traditional kurta.

Sharing the engagement pictures, Sharmiela kept the announcement simple with the caption, “And just like that,” along with a ring emoji.

The post received warm wishes from fans and celebrities, including actors Divya Spandana, Radhika Narayan and Sonu Gowda, among others.

Sharmiela Mandre made her acting debut with the 2007 Kannada film ‘Saajni’ and has since appeared in nearly 35 films across Kannada, Tamil and Telugu cinema. She is known for movies including ‘Krishna’, ‘Navagraha’, ‘Aake’, ‘Gaalipata 2’, ‘Powder’ and ‘The Devil’.

Apart from acting, Sharmiela also runs Sharmiela Mandre Productions and has produced several content-driven projects.

Sudhan Sundaram is the founder of Passion Studios and has produced several films. His production ‘Parking’ won the National Award for Best Tamil Feature Film at the 71st National Film Awards.

The couple is expected to tie the knot later this year, though the wedding date has not been announced yet.
