Many parents have already lost their children due to accidents who were their hope. Reckless driving, alcohol consumption, dozing off are some of the major causes for accidents and also most of the riders or the pillion riders do not wear helmets while riding.

People have no hesitation to buy protection covers for mobile phones but dont want to spend money to buy helmets! Apparently a cheap mobile phone is more valuable to many than their own heads! When the skulls are so think its no miracle that so many casualties are resulting from accidents. Sigh.

Main problem is law enforcement by the Police , if rules are strictly enforced people will think twice before breaking rules . Driving on the wrong side of the road , rash and negligent driving by private bus drivers , autos and two wheelers all contribute to major accidents . CCTVs with speed guns should be installed on all roads including highways .

Driving is a hazard we need to respect the guidelines, RTO needs to be strict when licenses are given. People need to be penalised for offences.Local media needs to educate youth. Accidents are caused , they don't happen. A good driver is the one who looks for danger from other drivers.
