Karkala, Jul 7: In a tragic incident a motorcycle rider died as a tree fell on him at Belman on Thursday July
The deceased is identified as Praveen, a native of Sooda, Pilarkhana.
He was stuck under the tree and died while being taken to the hospital by the locals.
The Karkala-Padubidri state highway was completely blocked for several hours due to the incident. Later, the locals and forest department staff cleared the tree and made necessary arrangements for vehicular movement.
The officials of Karkala rural police station visited the spot.
