London, Jul 27 (IANS): Actress Sandra Bullock's ex-husband Jesse James has called off his engagement with reality TV star Kat Von D.
The stars, who began dating two months after James divorced Bullock last year, became engaged in January this year and were planning a summer wedding.
It was reportedly said that they were separated because of their long distance love. Von D lives in Los Angeles, while James is based in Austin, Texas.
"I'm so sad because I really love her. The distance between us was just too much," James told people.com.
"I am no longer w (with) Jesse, and out of respect for him, his family and myself, that's (sic) all the info I'd like to share. Thanks for respecting that," Von D further confirmed the separation on micro-blogging site Twitter.
