Mangaluru, Jul 24: Manohar Shet’ relative Manoj Nayak apologized for the statement made by Manohar Shet against a temple and Baba Ramdev.

It may be recalled, Manohar’s shop was raided at Car Street by police who confiscated chocolate laced with drug. It later came to light that the chocolates were filled with ‘Bhang’, an edible preparation made from the leaves of the cannabis plant.

Manohar had spoken to media stating that there is a ritual of consuming ‘Bhang’ during rathotsav at Car Street and also that Baba Ramdev is planning to make ‘Bhang’ legal in the country.

Addressing media on Monday July 24, Manoj Nayak said, “The police commissioner is doing the right job by conducting raids and making the city drug-free. The report has been sent to FSL for further course of action regarding the chocolates which were confiscated. The police can take legal action after the FSL report is out and we do not have any objection over it.”

Manoj apologized to the temple administration and Baba Ramdev over Manohar’s statement and said, “I urge everyone not to take Manohar’s statement seriously.”

He further said, “Manohar was diagnosed with brain tumour two years ago and was operated for the same. He is not aware about what he speaks. The doctors also urged him to be at home for two years. His family is sending him to the shop for two hours so that he feels bit relaxed instead of sitting at home.”

Manohar Shet also apologised for the statement he had made in the media.

Prakash Shet was also present.
