Mangaluru, Jul 27: President of Karnataka Christian Association Stany Pinto warned that if the union government fails to provide justice to the victims of Manipur violence, Delhi and Manipur Chalo protests will be organized. Stany further said, “The developments of Manipur are discussed at international level. Worldwide leaders have raised their voice against the atrocities conducted in Manipur. However, it is irony that PM Modi has not said anything on the subject. There is no assurance of PM Modi taking any action on the violence in Manipur. So we will continue our protests. We will rebuild the houses and schools and create history.”

He was addressing a protest against Manipur violence organized by women commission of Mangalore Diocese, Christian Unity Commission and Mangaluru Christian Council led by Catholic Sabha on July 27 here.

"We stand in solidarity with you, there's no need to fear. The violence in Manipur has been hidden by suspending internet services. The act of women being paraded naked is an appalling and shameful incident witnessed by the entire world. Several churches in the state have also been demolished," said Roy Castelino, in support of the people of Manipur.

Furthermore, Roy Castellino highlighted the contributions of Christians in establishing numerous educational institutions.

S B Mohammed Darimi, president of state Darimi Ulaima federation, said, “Protests are not good for a developing nation. However, it is inevitable to hold protest against the violence that is occurring in various parts of the country including Manipur.”

Activist Vidya Dinkar criticized the government's decision to suspend internet services following the violence in Manipur. She expressed disappointment in the government's failure to control the law and order situation, accusing the union government of favoring Adani and Ambani.

Vidya Dinkar demanded justice for the women who were paraded naked in Manipur, strongly condemning any form of violence against women. She emphasized that people still live in fear and called out both the state and union governments for not doing enough to maintain law and order in Manipur.

Msgr Maxim Noronha, Ramanath Rai, J B Saldanha, Alwyn D’Souza, Paul Rolphy, Lawrence D’Souza, Ameen Hassan, Sajida Moomin and Nizamuddin Ummer were present.

LN, Dubai/Mangalore We Christians conduct protest on humanitarian grounds. We do not conduct protest in Politics point of view. Let me what you have done for the violence's situation in Manipur. If you have not done anything, then you dont have the right to talk what we Christians are doing.

Christians protesting against Manipur incident because it will be indirectly protest against ruling BJP government. Hindus protesting against Udupi case because because it will be indirectly protest against ruling Congress government. not even 1% of people protesting for justice they all are protesting for political reasons. Why Christian association not protesting for Hindu girl is she not a victim? Why BJP groups not protesting for Manipur girl is she not a victim? Shame on all these people who do it for political benefits. Its very sad to see comments from such educated peoples with political mindset instead of humanity.

Do not go overboard with emotions and flex your muscles by throwing stones at vans and destroying public property. It may bring grim reminders of what happened in 2008, when Cops were assaulted and stones pelted, and the culprits later ran and hid into the places of worship. Eventually in the lathicharge innocents were hurt including ladies. Please exercise caution. Ensure its peaceful.

Don't be too impressed by the cleverly made videos. Everyone was ignoring the pain and suffering of the Meitei community, despite the fact that they are an integral part of Manipur, whose roots are deeply rooted in the soil. They were banned from buying land. They were confined to a small area in Manipur. After the decision of the court, they were tortured a lot. On which the media remained silent. Now someone cleverly made a video, and the community who themselves himself is the victim, is portrayed as...........

What an irony! Worry about your own state first ! Will this 'sea of people' protest and raise the same voice against, terrorists apprehended in the state as a major terror attack was averted? Minor boy sodomised in the place of worship? Rapido driver playing with himself in one hand , riding a bike with a wemen passenger behind? Immigrant raping a minor girl? Washroom filing by girls in Udupi?

Protest against CAA was meaningless, which had nothing to do with Indian citizens. The law was enacted for the relief of persecuted refugees from across the borders. Protests were organised by politicians like Ivan and people who generally oppose BJP. All are not fools to follow what their politicians say.

Shankar Anna, Answer is very simple...all others are busy with cheddy bhakts chasing washroom videos of Udupi.... moreover the Christians are the ones who suffered, killed most in Manipur violence. If it was opposite then the situation would have been unimaginable. When minority suffers majority celebrates. There is a old saying in Tulu....Kaalakk batthina badoo Bollana berikhla barpundu.... only matter of time...!!!?? Rains and floods loss in Himachal is the recent example.

Let’s pray for Manipur. Christians silence make difficult for people to survive anymore. All these people study in Christian schools use Christian hospitals, use every facility run by Christian’s and finally turn thier back on us and destroy churches schools and hospitals. Seriously have no shame at all. Eat in our plates and shit in the same plates. We Christians need to think differently now on. Not worth helping all these people. So much donations for charity work goes for all these people and Christian’s still struggling in own ways with poverty. So many priests and nuns sacrifice thier life to help these people with education and many many ways but finally get bad treatment from government leaders and politicians. It’s an utter shame on selfish people.

Hope there will be massive protest also for atrocities against women in Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Bihar along with Manipur too. All these are sensible enough to bring tears to human eyes and hope people will oppose these kind of crimes irrespective of the ruling government in the respective states. Every Indian states matters
