JLo feels strong, looks toward future after divorce

Los Angeles, Aug 3 (IANS/EFE) Singer and actress Jennifer Lopez said she feels "strong" and positive as she looks to the future in the first interview she granted after the announcement of her split with Marc Anthony, Vanity Fair reported Tuesday.

The magazine offered a brief preview of its chat with the Latino artist, who will appear on the cover of its September issue, which will go on sale Friday.

Both she and Anthony "really worked hard" at their marriage, Lopez said, adding, "sometimes it doesn't work - and that's sad".

"I will always respect Marc as a singer and performer. We actually work great together, and he was always very supportive," she said of Anthony. "Together we could make magic - and we did. He will always be in our lives. He will always hold a special place in my heart as the father of my children."

"I am positive - determined to move forward with my life, bring up my babies, and do the best job I can as a mother, entertainer, and person. I now look forward to new challenges. I feel strong," Lopez said.

Lopez and Anthony, both 42, on July 15 announced that they were amicably ending their seven-year marriage.
