Dubai, Aug 4: Bollywood star, Shah Rukh Khan, darling of millions of his fans spread in India and elsewhere, will shortly be performing in Dubai. He is scheduled to perform at the Eid event here. Apart from him, a number of Arab, Iranian, Indian, and Filipino artistes will be performing in the event.

‘Gulf News’ said that his performance will be at an event to be organized by the side of Shoppiesta, a consumer fair. It will be a five-day event beginning on August 31. Every night, two concerts are set to be presented.

On the first day, Lebanese singers, Ajram and Melheim Zein, will present an Arabic night. Filipino pop and R&B band, ‘South Border’, is scheduled to entertain the crowd on the second night. This programme will be followed by a performance by ‘Mocha Girls’, an exclusive girl band.

Iranian performer, Googoosh, will take the stage on the third night, followed by a concert by Hariharn and Shankar Mahadevan the next day. The grand event featuring Shah Rukh will be unfolded on the fifth night, September 4. After performances by 50 Cent, Shah Rukh and his 70-member team of artistes including Bollywood actresses, Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor, will be providing a feast to the eyes of Dubai residents.

Krishna Ramanathan, managing director of Citron, which will host the event, expects the performances to be a huge hit. He said Shopiesta will offer everything from shopping, leisure activities, adventure sports etc at one place. The event coincides with a five-day public holiday in Dubai. He promises that the ticket prices are quite affordable.
