Police said that the complaint stated that the woman realised that she boarded the wrong cab when the driver had moved the cab for 100 meters. She had asked the cab driver to stop the vehicle. The cab driver wasn’t happy with this and he argued with her and when she got down, he attacked her.

As per police, the accused claimed that the victim had used singular pronoun for him and abused him. This had led to an argument between the two and when the car was stopped, she had banged the door of the vehicle after getting down. Enraged by this, the cab driver had attacked her.

Prima facie, cab-driver is guilty of physical assaults and should be put behind the bars and thrashed three times, for he is a threat to civil society and must face consequences of violence he inflicted upon his victims. I see some musing the women might have abused and myriad other contributing factors, but the fact of the matter is no matter what might be the provocation, you absolutely can not just rage and start assaulting others physically. One wrong hit, and a person might even die. (in one road rage incident, Mr. Navjot Siddhu assaulted an elderly and that led to his death.) In this case, the cab-driver, rightly judging his physical superiority over his victims, continued to hit them. Would he have done the same if the passenger were a well-built guy or a wrestler? Certainly not. But he perceived no threat from them, and then proceeded to give them punishment as he deemed fit. Physical assault should be dealt with more stringently in law. Such incidents are only bound to increase when you have 1.2 billion human beings all jostling each other within the space of only 1.2 million sq miles. Minting money seems to be prime motto of everyone here- be it media, politicians, professionals, actors or even common people. No one wants to be left behind in the race. Most threads on news articles are comments blaming incumbent party or older party for problems and making persons remarks against their followers. But remember you personally suffer when fighting with one another while your beloved Politicians, this side or other, live in Palatial complexes, enjoy all power and facilities like Kings, make tons of money, purchase islands abroad, and go... Their workers literally die upholding their political ideology while their leaders make alliances with their sworn enemies to suit their interests. Who were the fools then? This country is held hostage by politicians. Wake up India before its too late. Don't be polarized and blinding fight with one another. Be civil.

A comedy of errors has turned into a tragedy of errors - -- and fist fight - unruly etc -- Possibly the Lady Customer -- if only had verified the Car regn number which is given while confirming booking -- had taken some trouble and not got into the car -- could have saved all the trouble ---- CAB driver will have a record ( ENTRY ) -- in police station ----- many drivers live on day to day basis -- EMPATHY important which is difficult these days -- ALL SEEM TO BE IN A NEEDLESS HURRY- sometimes yes ----- but regularly if in hurry -- wrong planning to blame --

There is a lesson to be learnt for everyone in any incident... This looks like just the case of the mother of actress who was duped into drug arrest in Sharjah airport... Behavior always holds the key in public... Nowadays people don't care for others wealth or show off... better thank God for whatever you are and give n take respect in public... North Indians have a bad habit of using singular in any of their public interactions... They even do that to elderly strangers... But same people are very careful and extra respectful when it comes to their own elders... Jaisi karni waisi bharni... Hope the lady understood to behave better in future...

Though assaulting somebody is wrong, it's a two way affair; many times high society females have lots of ego and attitude, which makes them think there is no end of themselves; definitely she might have used some very abusive/derogatory words along with banging the door of the car! At the same time, many hired vehicle drivers are big scoundrels trying to loot passengers left and right, and most often don't even have basic etiquette while behaving with passengers! In the recent past such types of fracas between passengers and cab drivers has become common place in Bengaluru; every time, the passengers are at the receiving end! The competition for more passengers along with frayed tempers because of deadly traffic jams and other environmental factors leads a person lose his cool and go berserk at the slightest irritation! There is nothing much that can be done to thwart such type of incidents except counseling of the driver fraternity or imposing strict action on defaulting drivers! In the best interest of the passengers, it's better not to fall into arguments with rowdy drivers as nobody will come to the victims rescue if they get into trouble especially in unknown places! BTW, auto drivers have their own cartel; when a passenger fights for his rights and gets into an argument, he will summon ten others on the spot to make the passenger sober down and accede to the driver's demands!

Monty, one cannot absolutely keep off the vaccine factor; in one of the latest reports, I read that the virus (it doesn't say whether the affected were jabbed or not, but I presume they were) has affected the mitochondria of the heart and various other organs; it's well established that post COVID saga many many people have been complaining of brain fog and other vague symptoms.... which may include signs of easy irritability exaggerated by the external atmosphere in this crammed metro city!

Kusuma; practicing patience, once you place yourself in the cogwheel of the rat 🐀 race merry-go-round, you can't get off easily; easy to talk about patience, but very difficult to practice in real life given the circumstances!! BEST POLICY IS TO SPEAK THE MINIMUM AND TO LISTEN MORE!!!

For a long time, I have had compassion for poor people including Auto drivers as well as cab drivers. However, over a period of time, I have realized that they should be treated according to their level and maturity and not be pampered. Especially in Bangalore, these guys have become very practical and if you are kind and compassionate, they see it as your weakness. So, they should be treated practically and be held accountable in the interest of their maturity and be made to work hard which they set out in the first place to do. These guys, do not deserve compassion and all of them without exception.
