Mangaluru, Aug 24: A bus conductor from Nurm at Kumpala instructed five primary school girls to disembark from the bus on Thursday, August 24, since they did not carry Aadhaar cards. The incident led to local residents stopping the bus and confronting the conductor.

Hussain Sab I Hallura, the conductor of the government bus plying the route from Mangaluru to Kumpala, informed the girls, who were in second and third grades, that they could not travel without an Aadhaar card.

The girls had boarded the bus after school on this particular day.

Since their regular bus conductor did not typically ask for Aadhaar cards, they had not brought them along. However, as the regular conductor was on leave, Hussain Sab was on duty. Gulabi, the headmistress of the Kumpala government school, was present on the bus during the incident.

In the evening, local residents halted the bus in front of Kumpala school and addressed the issue with the conductor. A local resident named Yashwant contacted KSRTC officer Ramya, urging action against the conductor for his treatment of the young school children.

All hypocrites of Karavali who were saying rules should be followed during the hijab row are now criticising the conductor for following rules. Hypocrisy ki bhi seema hoti hai.

Parents sending kids to school should ensure they carry their requirements in school and Adhar card before leaving home. The bus conductor has done his job he to has to answer or pay fine by his supervisor on elighting the children.some one mentioned conductor harass student having pass and not dropping them at their school bus is unexcptable in done deliberately. Authority need to be taken care of issue.Action against conductor od in no way justified.

... only with adhar card? what was the headmistress sitting in the bus do? stop the conductor from asking the children to leave and walk home, as the card must have been left at home ... or take the child to her home and get the parent show up with the card? And do that with all the little children? No sense, no compassion? There are limits to doing one.s duty; compassion is one such limit. Will KSRTC discipline the conductor if he had allowed the children and take tem to their home? These so-called officials have brans in their rear end! Bhagya women never get asked to show any id, they can just board.... little school children cannot!!! what double standard is this. school children should not have to carry any id.

Seen in its merits the conductor isn't entirely at fault as per rules and as per req every one is supposed to carry an id card for availing the free service offered by the Govt on this ground. Few points 2b noted however is that he was on temp duty who did not ask for the Id cards as he was a regular&as such he was aware about the logistics in question. All sd n done this could have been solved using a little maturity esp since their madam was also with them. Best solution is to atleast keep few spare copies of the cards which can be freely produced as required and the original produced on demand.. The only other option is to use "coloured" buses I guess

This is the actual status of government service. How can any common sense man alight 2nd standard & 3rd standard girl students alight from bus? This person needs to be terminated from service. Not fit for this job. Even if they didn't bring Adhaar cards what is the issue?

How do u think a parent allow 2nd Or 3rd std student to travel by bus on her own? If the parents are not bothered about their kids then why should a conductor be worried about them? He has his job to do and feed his family and he is doing that. ( I don't think the students were of 2nd and 3rd std?)

Follow rules simple and straight. He is right in demanding Aadhar card, because Shakthi Card is yet to be processed and issued. He is doing his job and let him do it. You want everything free literally and do not want to follow rules that enable this? Conductor is not enabling free travel, but Government is. Governments follow process. If you do not like to follow process, pay for the ticket.
