'Aamir Not Free to Replace Sanjay in Munna Bhai'

Daijiworld Media Network

Mumbai, Aug 9: The recent buzz is that the famous Munna Bhai duo- Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Wasi has been replaced by Aamir Khan and Sharman Joshi in the next sequel of Rajkumar Hirani's Munna Bhai.

However, these rumours have been rubbished by Vidhu Vinod Chopra's official representative. He said, "We are not even ready with the script of the next 'Munna Bhai' flick and this is a baseless rumour. Vidhu Vinod Chopra doesn't begin the casting for his films until he completes his script. Besides, Aamir Khan is not free for another two years."

Sources had earlier said that the idea of casting Aamir and Sharman had come up during the shoot of '3idiots'. The duo that had appeared together in Rang De Basanthi and 3 Idiots seem to have an amazing on-screen chemistry.

Yet another source working close to the franchise said that a few months back Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Rajkumar Hirani in a recent meeting with Sanjay told him that he would no longer be playing the role of Munna Bhai in the sequel.

However, such claims have been denied by Hirani.
