Puttur: Police book case against 8 accused in abetment to suicide of man

Puttur, Aug 30: Cases have been booked against eight people in connection with a person who attempted to die by suicide and was admitted to a hospital where he died after the man did not respond to treatment.

The deceased is Abdul Naseer, a resident of Puttur's Kattatharu, who made a video announcing that he would end his life. He attempted suicide by consuming poison and was taken to a hospital where died without responding to treatment.

On August 22, Abdul Naseer tried to end his life and he died on August 27.

Earlier, Naseer had filed a complaint with Bellare police stating that some people had assaulted him in Bellare and threatened to kill him.

Now, the deceased Abdul Naseer's mother has filed a complaint with Puttur rural police.

The police have registered a case against the accused Adrama, Moidu, Taaju, Abdullah, Sameer, Nauphal and Ataullah for abetting the suicide attempt by Abdul Naseer based on the complaint.
