Chamba (Himachal Pradesh), Aug 10 (IANS): A private mini-bus carrying more than 15 people fell into a swollen rivulet in Himachal Pradesh Wednesday morning, police said adding that four bodies have been recovered. The casualty figure could rise.
The bus was going from Tissa, some 65 km from here, towards Dalhousie, Superintendent of Police Madhu Sudan told IANS.
"After the bus had covered just 10 km from Tissa, it skidded off the road and fell into the Shikari rivulet," he said.
The rescue operation has begun. One injured was rushed to a nearby hospital.
"The death toll could be high as the rivulet is in spate," he added.
Tissa is one of the remotest areas of the state.
