Mumbai, Aug 10: The metro-based Shanteri Mahalasa Narayani Trust organized a ‘Satyanarayan Puja’ for members of the Kulavi community at Dwarakanath Bhavan, Gokarna Partagali Jeevottam Mutt, Ram Mandir, Wadala, recently.
Mukund Pai, chief operating officer, Thomas Cook International Division, was the chief guest on the occasion.Giridar Kini, deputy general manager, State Bank of India, metro’s main branch, was the guest of honour.
Both Mukund Pai and Giridar Kini felicitated the toppers of SSC, HSC, and professional examinations.
Veteran social worker Dr Bhujang Pai, Sunil Pai Madangeri, R V Shanbagh, Darshan Patri, Trust chairman L K Pai, trustee Dilip Pai, committee members Anant Pai Dombivali, and Madhukar Pai were present on the dais.
Vaman Pai Bhatkal, Dr Giri Bhat Shantikunj, Ramakrishna Academy, Panvel, N G Pai, Wadala Mutt's vice-president Rajan Bhat, popular stage artiste and Kavale Mutt Walkeshwar office-bearer Kamalaksha Saraf were present on the occasion.
Anant Bhat performed the Vedic rites and distributed ‘prasadam’ to all the devotees.
Udupi Padmanabha Pai rendered a Bhajan recital at the beginning of the programme. Reiki expert Dr Venkatesh Pai compered the programme while Prabhakar Shenoy proposed the vote of thanks.
