Mumbai, Aug 12: Actor Katrina Kaif who was earlier reported to have walked into film maker Karan Johar's house confiding in him that she wanted to be the next Dostana girl in the sequel, has now chosen Aditya Chopra over his best friend Karan Johar.

However, the film has been delayed as director Tarun Mansukhani has been stuck with the second half of the sequel.

Once Kat heard that Ayan Mukerjee was looking for a leading lady to pair with her estranged boyfriend actor Ranbir Kapoor, she once again made herself available for the role.

Katrina seeking the role was quite flattering for the Dharma Productions as she is at present the leading lady of B-Town.

But when it came down to choosing between Karan and his best friend Aditya Chopra, Kat chose the latter.

Kat was given the choice to choose between allotting dates in November 2011 to the Shah Rukh-Yash Chopra Project or the Ranbir-Ayan project.

Sources say that Kat's choice has not exactly gone down well with the Dharma Productions.
