Mangalore, Aug 14: The activists of Bajrang Dal late on Saturday August 13 night reportedly raided a rave party Maharani Farm Guest House located near Ullal beach under Ullal police station limits. At the time of the raid, ganja packets and other drugs were found, sources said. A case has also been registered in Ullal police station.

One person identified as Munna from Mangalore is said to have booked a room at Maharani Farm Guest House. In the name of a birthday celebration, the party went on well past midnight. The Bajrang Dal activists received a message that a rave party involving boys and girls was going on at the guest house.

Sources said that the activists raided the party at 2 am and found around 30 youngsters consuming drugs and dancing. Four of them alleged that Bajrang Dal activists assaulted them physically and had to be admitted in a private hospital in Ullal.

It is gathered that the youth involved in the party were students of different colleges. Maharani Farm Guest House is owned by Suresh Jain of Mangalore. Soon after the news of the raid by Bajrang Dal spread, Ullal police rushed to the spot. However, by then the Bajrang Dal activists had left. About 20 two-wheelers and a few persons have been taken into police custody. The guest house owner filed a case against Bajrang Dal state convener Sharan Pumpwell for damaging property.

It is also gathered that the son of a BJP senior leader was also present at the rave party. However, he fled the scene soon after the Bajrang Dal activists arrived.

A case of dacoity has been registered against Bajrang Dal activists, it is learnt.

Well this does it.....All you people worrying about addicts and social evils please note that the persons who are doing these things repeatedly don't do it out of some forced persuasion. They do it because they are adult enough to know the consequences and dont need a Bajrang Dal to tell them what is right and what is wrong. If they are doing it out of their own personal view of life, who is bajrang dal to interfere.Bajrang Dal dont run our lives....we ourselves do.....So all you people supporting Bajrang Dal ask yourself ,Is consuming some substances by his own free will without troubling anyone a bigger crime than some people doing violence and destruction, boasting and enjoying while doing it....well i thought INDIA was a free country ....But we still live in FEAR .....I am not judging anyone but ask yourself is it right what the bajrang people did.....If you think its right then you have some serious misplaced sense of righteousness.... PEACE.....

People who were at party you guys must know who was missing. So you guys need find out and the person who was missing during this scene will be obvious the BJP leader's son.
And the opposition party wake from your sleep its time act on this and do something about it. Cause anyways if the government starts supporting this o taking no action against this then the government will change in during the next election. And if the youth are treated so badly then this country wont have any future. So people just think about it and start supporting the right. Cause no one as any right to hit anyone. Even cops don't hit anyone while raiding a place they just take to the station and its taken care over there. Nor anyone can damage anyone's private property so badly. I REQUEST EVEN THE PUBLIC TO WAKE UP AND SUPPORT FOR MAN KIND. JUST THINK WHAT IF SOME THESE GUYS COME AND ATTACK YOU OR YOUR ONES. SO TAKE THE ACTION BEFORE ITS TOO LATE.

Dear Basheer, BD should also keep an eye on beef eaters. Do u like that?

This is individual freedom. If on call centre and dance training school are registered and legal, what is anybody's problem. If it is running without any license and if at all it is required to register, then it is the duty of govt. machinery to act.

Can anybody stop visiting bar? The bar owners as well as customers will react so badly, the trouble makers will run for their life. Here BD members attacked rave party members in the farm house, when they are not prepared. In future these party guys, farm guesthouse will hire their own bodyguards and then who can attack them.

Snatching gold ornaments’, mobiles and money shows this is nothing less than dacoit act.

Bajrang Dal is not a security agency with authority to raid such parties. Police should take care of this things. Why Bajrang Dal come into action is purely because they are a bunch of free roaming, lazy bunch of people. These parties are a opportune time of them to loot, steal and make money from party.

Every human being has good heart and wish to do good job.
That does not mean one has to take law into one's hand. This shows either our police personnel are impotent, redundant, not active and because of this, keeping blind eye & allowing BD type of organization to take law into their own hands.
One side we fight against corruption, goondas, underground dons, illegal wealth grabbers. If these group does any charity, do u appreciate? Because money is illegal and they want public sympathy to cover their guilt.

The history and back ground, ideology of BD is nothing but violence. Many of youngsters whom I know belongs to this group, when I met them personally are very nice boys but brainwashed on ideology with violence as the weapon. If police arrest these rave party boys/girls, but not taking any action by BD for damaging Maharani Farms and taking law into their hands, then our police & system is nothing but joke, impotent, without backbone.

Latest rumours spreading in the town says these team who has acted as vigilant has robbed money, mobile phones from the rave party. What a pity.

Request police personnel to take strict action against all goondas irrespective of any affiliation to political or any organization. Then we believe, there is police action against all who damage property, human beings. If not, tomorrow few other entities will sprout in the name of self vigilant group.

I am surprised by so many supporters...BD who encroached private party and fun. End of the day its young students having some fun. There are few asking why party is on till early morning?
    It is personal choice.
Though I do not support drug party, it is police job. But BD themselve are jobless and uneducated!! Biggest mistake state govt doing is supporting BD. Govt should support police not goons!! BD is sowing communal unrest and showing police in a poor light!! I think it is Acharyas mistake in the initial stage as Home Minister!! Youth will not work...they will join BD. They will tip BJP leaders son to slide away and attack plus rob others!! This is the way of life for anti social outfit indirectly supported by govt. If govt desires, they will instruct police to crush anti socials.

The report in a prominent national daily says that the place was raided by a group of 30-40 self styled vigilantes, who assaulted and robbed party-goers of their money and mobiles at a beach resort (Maharani Farms, Ullal). So, the primary purpose of these moral police / gangsters is to rob. If they were so much concerned about the so called rave party why they didn’t take police along with them. And how only the BJP leader’s son fled from the scene? How sure we are that the bajrangdal gangsters themselves didn’t bring and kept the drugs there to show that the youth are consuming drugs? In the above photographs we can see only young boys there.

Perhaps the Owner of the Guest House didn't pay "Hafta" and had to face the consequence from BD activists. Actually, we are fools appreciating such activists thinking they do good work by raiding rave party or a Bar, without questioning the logic as to why only ed such rave party or a Bar are attacked and the rest are not touched because they concede to the demands of the Dalas or Senes, who have beeen formed because of the flourshing business of 'Hafta' collection in the name of moral policing. Equally, the attackers should also be booked for taking law in to their hand and damaging the property.

    The dangerous drug culture of
    destruction and death is gradully
penetrating to the young and educated generation of Mangalore and other cities. Many potential
and bright students are going to
quit studying after getting into this habit.

    Even though some readers are
commenting the actions of BD in
    detroying the property and beating
the young people, that is giving
a wrong signal for them to keep on
    interfering in other places as
    custodians of morality. They can
misuse this moral support to beat
and destroy others in the future.
Look at the physical and material
damage casued to the property? It seems like the BD had more fun in
    the destruction hobby than the
    drug users!

If the police and the government have failed to check this drug
    use epidemic, a vigilante organization
composed of decent people from all religions and political background
must be formed at the earliest.
Drug use is a fun in the beginning,
later on it will be an adiction, and finally that will
end up in irreparable damage of life. Drug has no discrimination
of religion or politics, but enjoy
    in destroying everybody possible.

Good job by BD on this indecent on one hand and on contrary Looks like Mangalore is becoming like Bombay. People were more inclined towards underworld than police.

Ganja is common now a days. Without this it is hard to say there is any party taking place.

Though it is banned, it is so evident that there is major powerful nexus with Govt personal involvement in order to supply these materials.

Imagine the amount of money involved. No tax 100 % profit (may be more).

Why cant this Dala show their talent/courage to catch hold of those thieves and help the police force? This will prove their ability no? Why should they run away before police come, if the law is not taken in their hand. The son of a BJP leader also ran away! "A friend in need, is a friend indeed!". Raiding the Rave Party supposed to be done by the police. I think, we do not need any Police stations in Mangalore. please shut the police stations and ask Bajrang Dal to be vigilant all over the city.

This incident is a clear indicator of vigilantism which has no place in a civilized society. No doubt, what the youth at the party were indulging in was criminal, but that's why we have the law and a system in place. Unchecked vigilantism will only harm us , not help in the long run. It is an open secret as to why these self appointed vigilantes like the BD act like moral crusaders .

This is totally unacceptable. Bajrang Dal has no right to interfere in peoples affairs. Nobody has given them those rights and power. They are not a legal entity and have no rights whatsoever. This is a shame on the police force as they have become powerless. Also a shame on the BJP govt. as this is clearly a sign of anarchy in the state.

good job,but i dont understand why this so called bajrang dal is running away after doing good work, atleast we can see and salute them, also tell them to attack the ministers who are back of this drug net,not to beat the youngsters
they are forced for the drugs, they are not born drugs.so who made them druggists, try to heal those students, and make them study and come up in life this should be the aim of bajrang dal or any one, attack the real culprets, not students, they are also children of this soil india

I do not personally support such enjoyment but the way it had been dealt is pathetic just to press a group of young generation you cannot allow any third person to plan an attack that is almost life threatening and flee the situation like rats it is easy to comment on something but just try and put yourself in a similar mode if it were to be a brother or sister or anyone related to oneself would you encorage such an attack by any group which has no authority to conduct being educated you would not allow such intrusion it is completely not acceptable.
There are cops who can deal with such situations but assaulting and abusing will only cause more harm than good.
Such students need help and not beatings.
Again very sad way to tackle it.
By doing this we are only stepping one step down towards disaster.

In the khaki shorts, one leg belongs to the Sangh Parivar and other belongs to the BJP. It shouldnt be a surprise to anybody that the BJP leaders son fled away before the bajrangis raided.

You cant call yourself dressed when only one leg is in the khaki chaddi and the other is out.

No other Option! WELL DONE Bajrang Dal ! When police failed to control drugs/theft/rape then people will take law in their hand.Recently,we saw villagers killing 9 youngsters (who were criminals)in Andhra-Karnataka border. When police didn't succeed in catching this gang, villagers succeeded and they did what they should not have done. NO OTHER OPTION ! Here Bajrang Dal took the action.Police came late as usual like Hindi movie climax scene.
