Udupi, Sep 15: MAHE, Manipal, is delighted to unveil its forthcoming event, the 4th National Conference on Youth in Social Change, scheduled to grace the picturesque campus of Manipal on September 16-17. This conference, operating under the distinguished banner of ‘Youth Catalysts for Global Impact: Unleashing the Power of SDGs," is an integral component of the esteemed Youth 20 (Y20 event), an engagement group of the G20. Its fundamental objective is to unite young leaders, change-makers, and fervent advocates of social change from all corners of the nation, converging to examine and deliberate upon the most pressing global issues.
Kicking off proceedings on September 16, a capacity-building workshop shall be orchestrated for NGOs and community-based clubs within the region. This workshop seeks to arm participants with effective utilization of local resources and acquainting them with online fundraising through crowdfunding platforms for various community causes. Simultaneously, the Manipal Seva Mela will be held from 2 pm to 6 pm, unveiling a vibrant exhibition replete with offerings and opportunities presented by various NGOs. This event, open to the public, offers an exceptional avenue for the community to interact with local and national organizations like Milaap, CRY, Teach for India, Bhumi, Robinhood Army etc dedicated to ushering in social change. The Manipal Seva Mela shall be held at the Interact Building, located near the Tiger Circle at Manipal.
Suresh Prabhu, former union minister, will be present as guest of honour for the inaugural ceremony. His extensive experience and unwavering commitment to social causes render him a most valuable addition to the conference, and his presence is poised to inspire and invigorate the esteemed attendees.
The 4th National Conference on Youth in Social Change facilitated by Volunteer Services Organization, MAHE promises to be a platform for constructive dialogues, interactive workshops, and thought-provoking discussions. Delegates hailing from diverse backgrounds and regions will convene, sharing their invaluable insights and ideas. These deliberations are primed to serve as a catalyst for action, equipping participants with the knowledge and strategies needed to embrace Daan Utsav, the festival of giving, occurring from October 2 to 8.
