BJP ticket scam: Chaitra Kundapura found getting new house built in Karkala

Udupi, Sep 16: Hindu activist Chaitra Kundapura, who is in police custody for the alleged Rs seven crore cheating scam, was found building a huge house in the name of her friend.

Chaitra was building the house at Kanajaru after buying a land. Kanajaru is near Bailoor in Karkala. After Srikanth was taken into custody, the work stopped halfway.

Srikanth was building the two storey house. Chaitra was getting the two storey house built on the two-acre land.

It may be recalled, police had arrested Chaitra on Tuesday night in Udupi for allegedly cheating Govinda Babu Poojary, an industrialist of crores of rupees, promising him a BJP ticket to contest the Assembly polls.

    If the house is not in her name but in the name of her friend, and the funding is done by her, it becomes a "Benami " property which can be seized by the government. Also BTW who is this "friend " an akka or anna.
