Mumbai, Aug 18: Actor John Abraham who will be appearing in two films simultaneously sporting two different looks has chosen to acquire the desired look going the healthy way.

John’s trainer Vinod Channa said, “It’s tough to gain eight kilos and still maintain six-pack abs. From his diet to his exercise regimen, John and I would change plans almost everyday to achieve the desired results. We’d also check regularly and see how his body was reacting to each plan, and then alter it accordingly.”

Since the shooting of the two movies will be taking place simultaneously, maintaining the two looks at the same time has been quite a challenge to John as well as his physical trainer.

A source close to the star said that John is juggling between maintaining a balance between a lean and a bulky look at the same time! And amidst all this, the hunky actor is also trying to do achieve this goal without causing any harm to his body.

John, who has been very particular about his physique, would surely not go in for short cut to arrive at a desired look. What followed was eight months of practicing a specially charted out exercise regime by his trainer. But it wasn’t as easy as it sounds.

Apparently, in ‘Desi Boyz’ the star will have to sport a lean physique while in ‘Force’ he would have to look macho and bulked up.

According to John’s fitness regime, he does five days of cardio along with yoga. With a decrease in the intake of proteins and carbohydrates to ensure that he gains muscle weight, John saw to it that there was no room for unnecessary fat. John would also do functional training to keep his body from becoming stiff. That’s when he gained weight and developed six-pack abs for Force.

John had to shed close to nine kilos for Desi Boyz and then regain some of the lost weight for the remaining portions of his action film.
