Mumbai, Aug 19: With the Lakme India Fashion Week in full swing, buyers are rushing in with a prospect of packing a good stash. The buyers could be celebs, store owners or common people with an obsession for fashion.

It is during these fashion weeks that fashion designers get to meet the takers of their designs.

The business usually takes place at the stalls where buyers browse the clothing lines and exchange contact information for future correspondence. Price and availability are usually discussed later on.

With the festive season soon to be out, buyers are more interested in festive clothes which are traditional yet fashionable.

One most noticeable factor about this year’s LIFW is the absence of many Bollywood celebrities. Model turned actor Arjun Rampal was seen walking the ramp on the first day for Gudda’s creations with Rohit Bal doing the openings for the day.

On day 2 however, the glamour quotient was much lesser. Rina Dhaka’s showstopper for the winter/festival collection, Sonal Chauhan did not exactly put her best foot forward on the ramp for her walk looked rather clumsy while compared to other models who walked the ramp in towering heels effortlessly.

Payal Singhal's show right before Rina's saw Karisma Kapoor in the front guest row. Jatin Varma's show had Chunky Pandey and Twinkle Khanna rooting for the designer from their front row seats.
