Udupi, Oct 9: A get together of directors of Catholic Credit co-operative Societies was organized by Laity Commission of Udupi Diocese and Catholic Sabha, Udupi Pradesh on October 9 at Anugaraha Pastoral Centre, Kakkunje, and Udupi.

Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo Bishop of Udupi inaugurated. Santhosh Cornelio, president of Catholic Sabha presided. 

G Sridhara Somayaji HDC, CEO (Rtd) Kota co-operative Agricultural Society, explained the seven principles of co-operatice societies and explainded the role of directors and office bearers. He also explained the changes in the co-operative act recently.

John D'Silva Mumbai, Valerian Meenezes Kota, Johnson D'Almeida Kundapur, Louis D'Almeida Udupi shared their experiences. Msng Ferdinand Gonsalves the spiritual directors thanked the directors for their constructive service to the society. Later a committee was formed with Johnson Almeida as convener and presidents of societies as members to continue the follow up.

Director of Laity commission and convener of the programme Dr Gerald Pinto welcomed the gathering and secretary Olivia D'Mello proposed a vote of thanks.
