Amisha Patel upset over missing Messi match

Kolkata, Aug 23 (IANS) Bollywood actress Amisha Patel, who is a football fan, is upset as she will not be part of history watching soccer star Lionel Messi along with his national teammates in a friendly match in the city Sep 2.

"I am so sad that I wouldn't be able to watch the match because of my prior commitments. Had the match been in Mumbai you could have found me in the stadium cheering like any other fan. I am a big fan of this lovely sport," said Amisha, who was here for the launch of Somi's Glowz Spa in South Kolkata's new Alipore area.

Argentina will take on Venezuela at the Salt Lake stadium here Sep 2 in the first ever FIFA official friendly international match in India. Argentina will also play Nigeria Sep 6 in Dhaka.

About the city, Amisha said: "I love this city, it's so vibrant and always on the move. People here are so loving and caring. But traffic here is just impossible. I thought only Mumbai traffic was bad but here it is worse."

The actress also said she loves to gorge on 'misti doi' and 'rossogolla' and this time too she has had a generous amount of the Bengali delicacies.

With Durga Puja round the corner, will she be here to grace the occasion?

"I would love to… I have heard so much about the Puja. It's the biggest festival here. It coincides with the Navratri celebrated in Maharastra with equal pomp."

The actress, who made her debut with blockbuster "Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai" opposite reigning star Hrithik Roshan, has started her own production house which is coming up with a Priyadarshan directed movie starring her.
