Mangaluru, Oct 18: "There are debates going on over the election results of the forthcoming elections in five states. As per the internal party survey, the Congress will win in the majority of states. Several surveys are predicting the same," said Congress leader Syed Naseer Hussain.
He further said, “People support our concerns on poverty, unemployment, price rise, the problem of GST and Manipur issues, Adani and other issues. We have raised this issue in the parliament too.
“Congress held the Bharat Jodo Yatra to unite India and to maintain the diversity of the country. We are hopeful that we will win the majority of states in the upcoming elections which will be held in five states. The Congress will gain the mandate in the next Lok Sabha elections too.
“Though the BJP plans to divide the people through polarization, we are raising issues of poverty, unemployment, price, and other corrupt activities of the BJP. People have given a good mandate to the Congress in the state as we set a proper narrative. The BJP are dividing the people on communal lines and due to their corruption, people have supported the Congress.
“When the Congress government was ruling the state, both Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts saw progress. When polarisation took place, investors were not ready to invest in the district,” he said.
He also added that there is no tolerance for hate speeches and provocative things under the Congress government. “The government has formed a separate cell to curb polarisation in the lines of communal divide. The Congress government is completely committed to curb polarisation. The government and enforcing authorities will act as per the law of the land. We will not allow communal divide or religious polarization. Communal harmony is essential for the progress and development of both districts,” he said.
He also said that the PM and other BJP leaders are worried about the I.N.D.I.A alliance.
Answering the questions of reporters, he said that the Congress did not accuse the BJP of 40% commission government, but several stakeholders raised the issue and the Congress has taken up the same.
