SJEC AICTE IDEA Lab holds three-day workshop on 'Advanced Manufacturing Processes'

Mangaluru, Oct 18: St Joseph Engineering College, Vamanjoor, Mangaluru in association with SJEC AICTE IDEA LAB and department of mechanical engineering organized a three-day skill development programme on 'Advanced Manufacturing Processes' from October 11 to 13 for the students of diploma colleges of Mangaluru region. About 60 students from government polytechnic Bantwal and 39 students from SNS Polytechnic Bajpe registered for the workshop and actively participated.

The first session of the workshop was focused on training the participants on the working of different machines and use of Software like SOLID WORKS, TINKERCAD, ART CAM, CREALITY ENDER SLICER, LIGHT BURN etc. which is primarily used to create the design of the model or product to be developed. Students were later divided into three groups of 10 students each andhands-on training was given on 3D printers, 3D scanner, Laser cutting machines, and CNC wood router machines respectively. Dr Ravikantha Prabhu, Dr Vijay V S, and Rajesh Belchada conducted different sessions as resource personsfor the workshop.

Deekshith, Harshith, Chaithra K, and Praveen Dsouza demonstrated the working of different machines and guided the participants as Tech Gurus.
