British Parliament honours Dr Ronald Colaco with Distinguished Fellowship 2023 Award in London

London, Oct 26: Dr Ronald Colaco, the prominent NRI of world repute, known for his exemplary philanthropic works, received another great honour from the Institute of Directors at the House of Lords, British Parliament, London, on October 19 in an event of IOD’s Global Convention.

This event at the House of Lords in British Parliament, London was well attended by the eminent personalities of corporate houses of international repute and graced by distinguished dignitaries.

The lord mayor of the City of London, UK Nicholas Lyons; Paul Scully MP, minister of London and parliamentary undersecretary of state (minister of tech and digital economy) government of UK; Lt Gen Surinder Nath, PVSM, AVSM (Retd) president IOD, India; Lord Karan Bilimoria CBE, DL, VP of the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) UK; Lord Swraj Paul of Marylebone, PC, Sadguru Sri Madusudhan Sai, spiritual & social leader, India; Gopichand P Hinduja, chairman, The Hinduja Group, UK; Shriti Vadera, Baroness Vadera, PC, chair of nomination and governance committee, UK; Mohit Ralhan, global CEO & managing partner of TIW Capital, Singapore; Dr Tayer Kamali, UAE chairman of board of trustees, Abu Dhabi School of Management, and UAE chairman of IOD, India; Navin B Chawla IAS, Former chief election commissioner of India, Ashok Kapur, IAS (Retd) director general of Institute of Directors, India; Srinivasan Sathyamoorthy, former auditor general of India and advisor, TIW Capital, India, and Desh Deepak Verma, IAS, former secretary general, Rajya Sabha, parliament of India, are those few among the prominent Participants. This global event in London was attended by hundreds of eminent personalities, directors and CEO’s of various corporate houses drawn from over 20 countries.

Dr Ronald Colaco, who was earlier honoured by the World Book of Records, London, as announced in the House of Commons of the British Parliament on the September 28, 2022, during Indo-UK Summit, with ‘The Certificate of Excellence’ for his ‘Social, Charitable and Infrastructure Support to the Government of Karnataka for the upliftment of the Society’, having listed them in more than 25 fields, some of them being his pioneering services in the entire country, was once again honoured. But this time in the House of Lords, London Parliament, with Distinguished Fellowship 2023 Award by admitting Dr Ronald Colaco as Distinguished Fellow of the Institute of Directors in appreciation of his extraordinary contributions to business, public service and promotion of social governance. This award certificate is in recognition of his exemplary social, charitable and humanitarian services over three decades.

This award certificate was conferred by three dignitaries namely Nicholas Lyons, lord mayor of the city of London; Paul Scully MP, minister of London and parliamentary undersecretary of state ( minister of tech and digital economy, government of UK, and Lt Gen Surinder Nath, PVSM, AVSM (Retd) president IOD, India, for and on behalf of the Institute of Directors, India.

This Certificate of Fellowship is signed by Justice M N Venkatachaliah, the former chief justice of India , former chairman of National Human Rights Commission of India and former chairman for National Commission for Constitution of India Reforms as the chairman, Institute of Directors.

Dr Ronald Colaco is also the recipient of prestigious ‘ASIAONE Global Indian of the Year 202’ award, presented by ASIAONE Media, in association with CNBC, Zee TV USA, Canada and Middle East and ETNOW, in Bangkok, Thailand on February 21, 2023, where earlier awardees were Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, Nobel laureate, economist and philosopher Amartya Sen, Pepsi CEO Indra Nooyi and Reliance Foundation chairperson Nita Ambani.

Times Now media in association with ICICI Bank had conferred on Dr Colaco, ‘Global NRI of the Year 2017 award in Philanthropy’, having chosen as single individual from amongst 110 countries of their presence.

Dr Colaco’s accolades, honours and titles earned from USA, Canada, Australia, London, European and several Middle Eastern Countries, besides Karnataka, which have been listed in the World Book of Records and others are exceeding more than 44 prestigious awards.
