Mangaluru: Heavy rains forecast for coastal region from Oct 29

Mangaluru, Oct 29: According to the forecast given by the India Meteorological Department parts of the coastal region will receive rain accompanied by thunder and lightning from Sunday, October 29.

In addition, rains is expected to lash many districts of the state from November 1. A yellow alert has been declared in the districts of Dakshina Kannada, Uttara Kannada and Udupi.

Mysuru, Hassan, Kolar, Shivamogga, Ramanagara and Chamarajanagar districts are also expected to receive rainfall from October 29.

At present, there is a slight fog in the coastal districts in the morning and the mercury soars as the sun rises. According to the forecast the region is likely to get rain during the whole month of November.

    It's already becoming unbearably hot out in Mangalore though summer is far off; with temperatures feeling like 39-40°C during the daytime! One can imagine what will be the situation in the peak of summer also with acute water shortage too in the offing🤔🙏

    It rained cats n dogs for 2 and half hours with lightening and thunder as per IMD forecasts.

    Slight fog there since many days before the IMD's forecast. No rain only thunder and lightning. Cannot believe the IMD's forecast all working like IT, ED, CBI working for the central government.
