Kasargod, Nov 2: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) sleuths have got information that the plot for the triple bomb blast that was carried out at the Jehovah’s Witnesses’ convention that was taking place at Kalamassery, was reportedly hatched in Dubai.
In the wake of this information, the investigation is extended to Dubai now. The blasts took place last Sunday.
When the NIA sleuths subjected accused Cheluvannoor Velikagatha Veetil Martin Dominic to intense interrogation, he confessed that the sketch for the bomb blast was made in Dubai. Dominic worked as an electrician in Dubai for 15 years and returned to his native place just two months ago.
The NIA is investigating the people who supported accused Dominic in Dubai. In her statement to the NIA team, the wife of accused Dominic said that he received a phone call the day before the blast and when she questioned the caller, Dominic got angry. Hence, the NIA team is centering its investigation on the phone call.
The NIA collected vital information after taking Dominic to various spots near the blast and other places. He is produced in court and is lodged in Ernakulam district prison.
