Mangaluru, Nov 2: The heat of Lok Sabha elections of 2024 is building up day-by-day. There is a direct fight between the Congress and BJP in the district of Dakshina Kannada (DK). From the BJP, there is a possibility of Nalin Kumar Kateel getting the ticket yet again.
The list of aspirants is not yet ready in the Congress party. However, minister Madhu Bangarappa arrived in the district last month as KPCC observer and discussed about the probably candidates of the party for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
It is said that serious discussions are held with election experts with regard to technique to be implemented for the Lok Sabha elections at the highest level. This year too, the possibility of the Congress giving tickets to young aspirants is sure, it is said.
The name of Vivek Raj Poojary, who was the coordinator for Chikkamagaluru legislative council constituencies, which was the fort of the BJP and in which Congress won all the five seats, is in the forefront as a Lok Sabha ticket aspirant from DK.
Only time will tell whether the state Congress will give an opportunity to Vivek Raj Poojary, who made such plans to defeat even a strong BJP leader like C T Ravi.
