Mangaluru, Nov 16: Dr Dharmapaalanatha Swamiji of Sri Adhichunchanagiri Mahasamstana Shaka Mata Kavoor inaugurated and blessed the regional office of South Canara Coconut Farmers Producer Company Limited at Maroli on Thursday, November 16.
During the ceremony, Swamiji and other dignitaries also unveiled coconut products, including coconut oil and coconut dry chutney.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Dharmapaalanatha Swamiji emphasized, "Coconut trees are a divine creation, and we often underestimate their value due to a lack of information. Coconuts yield numerous by-products, leaving no waste. If we nurture coconut trees for five years, they will sustain future generations. Unfortunately, we fall short in recognizing and nurturing this potential. Today, coconut shells can be transformed into a variety of by-products, generating revenue and employment opportunities."
Mithun Rai, general secretary of KPCC, also spoke at the event.
The CEO of South Canara Coconut Farmers Producer Company Limited outlined future projects, while Navyashree discussed the initiatives of Dakshina Kannada Coconut Farmers Producer Company Limited.
Giridhar, vice president of South Canara Coconut Farmers Producer Company Limited, extended a warm welcome to the gathering, and Dr. Rajesh served as the event's compere.
