Udupi: Two youths detained for consuming drugs in public

Udupi, Nov 19: Two youths were detained by Shirva police for drugs in a public place.

Glen Franklin Menezes (28) and Sheikh Mohammed Faran (30) are the accused.

Sub-Inspector Shaktivelu of Shirva police station who was on night rounds duty on November 13 at 3:30 am on reaching near Samsquare building in Shirva village of Kaup taluk found Glenn Franklin Menezes (28) and Shaikh Mohammed Faran seemingly intoxicated. On inquiring, they reportedly smoked ganja in cigarettes.

Later, they were subjected to a medical examination, and a medical certificate was obtained that the duo had consumed marijuana.

A case has been registered in Shirva police station.
