Sacha Baron Cohen bought wife Isla a ring to remind her of her dad after he died

Los Angeles, Nov 27 (IANS): Actor Sacha Baron Cohen bought his actress-wife Isla Fisher a ring to remind her of her dad after his death.

Writing in the Daily Mail's You magazine she said: "Perhaps that’s what I miss most about my dad since he left us: wherever I was in my life, he was there for me and we felt so connected.

“It’s no exaggeration to say that I spoke with him every day and those wide-ranging, at times very silly, conversations are what got me through the Covid pandemic in Los Angeles – when the world was in lockdown and human connection was in short supply.

After he died, Sacha bought me a ring so I could hold his memory close every day. It’s a simple gold band with a delicate Scottish heather. It reminds me of home."

At the time of her father’s death, the 'Great Gatsby' star questioned how people can go on living with people “you can’t live without”, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

Isla said alongside a picture of her dad: “How do you live without someone that you can’t live without?

“How lucky am I to have had you as my dad. You were hilarious, positive and my best friend. No matter what was going on in my life, you always asked me if I was having fun.

“I know this pain is going to get worse as the days between when I last saw you increase and that is very scary.

“I love you so much. Thank you for being the greatest father.”
