Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Nov 30: A 24-year-old youngster, who should have been taking responsibility of his parents, family members like other breadwinners of several families, is fighting for his life instead.

Alister Joseph Tauro, a resident of Bondel here, had many dreams for his family. He wanted to become a known automobile engineer and start his own business. After day’s work, he used to work in catering firms in the evening hours. He was determined to make his dreams a reality, through hard work. Unfortunately, luck was not in his favour. On November 20, while returning home from his work place in the night, he met with an accident at Yeyyadi junction. A car rammed into Alister's two-wheeler leaving him critically injured. The locals rushed him to AJ Hospital and he is being treated in the medical intensive care unit.

The doctors who are treating Alister have advised him to undergo major surgeries and specialized treatment. The cost of the surgery and treatment is around Rs 4,00,000.

Alister’s family which resides in Bondel is financially poor. They have to manage their daily expenses. Young Alister's life is hanging by a thread. Without timely help, his dreams and aspirations are certain to shatter. This is his only chance to get back his life.

Cecilia Tauro, mother of Alister, has requested kind-hearted readers of Daijiworld and donors to help them save her son's life. She believes generous assistance from readers would help them bear the exorbitant cost of the medical treatment.

I appreciate your concern Rita. Just so you know, it was an ACCIDENT . As a result, the localites hurried him to the hospital. The closest hospital was that one. He is still not in a condition to be transferred to a different hospital. At this point, every person should be treated equally. Before you comment , I hope you are aware of the condition of the government hospitals here. Also, you need not be sorry. May God bless you.

Rita, your comment is extremely insensitive, would you have said the same if it was your son? You would have given your arms and legs to save your son's life.
