Kasargod: Man steals ambulance, rams into wall - Arrested

Kasargod, Dec 2: A man was arrested after allegedly stealing an ambulance here at Uppala.

The arrested is Muhammad Naufal alias Sawad (21) from Uppala Patwadi.

The ambulance which was parked at a private hospital area owned by Muhammad Riaz of Pachlampare was stolen on Friday evening. He had left the ignition key in the ambulance and been out. When Riaz arrived after a while, the ambulance was missing.

He informed the matter to Manjeshwar police immediately. The police followed the vehicle through the GPS system. In the meantime, the speeding ambulance hit the wall of a premises in Badaje Chowki.

The police took the accused into custody. The accused was produced before the court and remanded to judicial custody.

Accused Naufal was previously accused in an auto rickshaw theft case as well.
