Film Maker Jagmohan Mundhra Passes Away at 62

Mumbai, Sep 5: Yet another loss to Bollywood. At 62, Film maker Jagmohan Mundhra passed away here after suffering a massive stroke early on Sunday September 4.
Sources within the film maker’s family said that he was immediately admitted to Bombay Hospital at Marine Lines late on Friday following internal bleeding. Mundhra was then on a ventilator.
Mundhra last appeared publicly at actor Shammi Kapoor’s funeral.
His last release was Govinda-starrer 'naughty at forty'. Mundhra also wanted to make a biopic on Sonia Gandhi.
Mundhra was best known for his film Kamla starring Shabana Azmi and Deepti Naval. Also during the last decade, he made women-oriented films like Bawandar with Nandita Das and the Aishwarya Rai Bachchan-starrer Provoked.
Many personalities from Bollywood have expressed shock and grief over the film maker’s death.
