First the driving standards to meet international standard, Still Indian driving requires the driver to put his hand out and tell the rear driver that I am turning left or right. Vehicles are provided with indicators why hand signal. We are still in 18th century ,Nitin Gadghari is responsible for these changes. I am sure He is using vehicle indicators to alert the vehicle behind him. When the driving standard changes all will improve. Street lights are not mandatory for driving. The Hump on the toll must be removed immediately. Responssible authority needs to open their eyes.

"Urgent attention is required to address these safety issues and ensure the well-being of commuters on the highway." The whole highway stretch is littered with safety hazard for normal motorists. But our motorists are hyper idiots who not only put their lives in danger but also of other people on road. I have noticed that traffic police do not fine motorists driving / riding on the wrong side in surathkal. Absolute morons.

The toll gate only collects money but if you see road conditions at the toll gate you will never pay the toll next. After it was closed there was no maintenance? the toll they take but never maintain road up to standard?

This tragedy was waiting to happen. There are no street lights or visible signs anywhere nearby. One more major issue is several metal barricades are put up on the highway. It's scary to drive at night, only those driving regularly know where they are.
