Mumbai, Sep 7: With the trailers of Ekta Kapoor’s ‘The Dirty Picture’ released amid the ‘Bodyguard’ frenzy, Vidya Balan is all set to overshadow Salman Khan.

Balan, who plays the central character in the movie is an instant eyeball-grabber. The actress has grabbed the attention of many websites on the internet that have gone bonkers over her new oomphy look.

Actress Sonam Kapoor wrote on social networking site Twitter, “Ohmigod just saw the promo of The Dirty Picture. Vidya Balan, I bow down to you. You are bold, provocative and brilliant.” Balan’s especially touched by Kapoor’s tweet. “I’m more than flattered with what she said,” she says.

Balan is overwhelmed with the response she is receiving from fans and well-wishers. She said, “I wanted to reply to everyone but I’m unable to get a grip on my phone due to the artificial nails that I’m sporting for the song that I’m shooting,” she jokes.

Ankur Talwar, a PR professional and stylist, says Vidya looks hot in the trailer and not vulgar because the filmmakers are just trying to capture the essence of that decade when stimulating skin show was very prominent. He went on to say that with this film Vidya is finally shedding her image of a homely girl and showing her sensuous side.

Vidya who had put on a lot of weight for her voluptuous look in the movie, also had to expose more skin on screen than ever before.

Ekta Kapoor who had earlier enjoyed critical and commercial success for ‘Love Sex Aur Dhoka’ and ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai’, now has her eyes glued to the prestigious national award honour for ‘The Dirty Picture’ and is convinced that with Vidya on her side the award is guaranteed.
