Mangaluru: Milagres College rings in Christmas festivities with grand celebration

Mangaluru, Dec 15: Milagres College, in association with IQAC, organized a Christmas celebration at 2:00 pm in the Rooftop Auditorium. Fr Thrishan D’Souza, secretary to the Bishop, Diocese of Mangalore, graced the occasion as the chief guest, emphasizing the significance of Christmas and reflecting on the birth of Christ. Rekhalatha Gopal, a motivational speaker, social activist, and resource person under Sidoc, was the guest of honor. Arun Dalmeida, Studio Manager at Radio Daijiworld, Fr Micheal Santhumayor, the principal, and campus director, along with Shaila Moras, the event coordinator, were also present for the programme.

The event kicked off with Nishitha Lobo from I BCA reading about the significance of the day, followed by dance and singing performances by the students. The celebration included a Housie Housie game for all the students and staff, with attractive cash prizes awarded to the winners.

A greeting card competition was held for students, and Nishitha Lobo secured the first prize, while Asmitha IFND from I BCA was the runner-up. In the star-making competition, Kenneth I BCA claimed the first place, and Joyal won the second place. The programme concluded with a DJ session for the students.
