Mithun Starrer 'Nobel Chor' to be Screened at 55th BFI London Fest

New Delhi, Sep 8 (IANS): Producer Ashwani Sharma's Bengali feature film "Nobel Chor", which stars Mithun Chakraborty, will be screened at the 55th British Film Institute (BFI) London Film Festival 2011, to be held in London Oct 12-27.

The screening will be presented as the European premiere of the film.

The film is also set to be showcased at other festivals abroad, says director Suman Ghosh.

"The film will first be having its world premiere at the 16th Busan International Film Festival where it will be shown in the Section A Window on Asian Cinema and will have three screenings from October 6-14," Ghosh said in a statement.

At the BFI London Film Festival, the movie will have two screenings under the world section.

In the film, Mithun plays the role of Bhanu, who finds the lost Nobel medal of noted poet Rabindranath Tagore. What happens to the medal and Bhanu in a twisting turn of events forms the entire story.

Actor Soumitra Chatterjee also features in the movie, apart from names like Harsh Chhaya and Rupa Ganguly.
