Udupi, Dec 19: A Guruvandana and reunion programme by the students of Vaikunta Baliga Law College (VBCL) batches from 1994 to 1997 was held on December 16 and 17 at Sahana Beach Resort, Koteshwar.
The program began by welcoming the Guru’s and blessed the occasion by lighting the lamp with prayer.
Alumni of VBCL Udupi, who are residing in different states came together after 26 years and honoured their Guru’s and faculties.
The teachers who shaped the future of the students of batches from 1994 to 1997, Prof Prakash Kanavi, Prof Venugopal, Prof Rohit Amin, Senior Advocate Prof Madhava Acharya, the present director Dr Nirmala accepted Guruvandane and wished their students.
Teachers and students together relieved their student life. A silent prayer was offered as a tribute to all senior lecturers and some students who had answered the call of time.
The program was coordinated by Ravindra Moily Karkala and Alvin D'Souza Parkala, Vipula Naik Mumbai, Bhamini Shridhar, Raviraj Rao Udupi, Supritha Bhaskar Kalmadi and Shaila Deepak Shenoy Manipal.
Vipula Nayak welcomed the gathering and Chandrahas Shetty Mangalore proposed vote of thanks.
Faculties, Surekha K, Dr Srinivasa Prasad, Dr Naveen Chandra, Erappa S Medhar and Amogh were present.
