I am sure that these guys were DUI of something, otherwise it's not possible to have head on accidents. And whosoever wrote the article should be commended for trying to make a short story long by first mentioning that only the driver in one car got serious injuries and then stating that two passengers in the other car got serious injuries.

Seeing the number of fatal accidents on these roads almost every day (for varied reasons) wherein entire families are wiped out, it's always advisable to opt for public transport to the nearest point of your destination! BTW, these fuel friendly cars are not even designed to withstand a head-on crash of even less than 100kmph; they get mangled so badly that even retrieval of the victims becomes impossible without use of some tools or even gas cutters! Only divine intervention can protect the travellers! Also there is some fundamental reason why we are the #1 in road mishap casualties 😞!

When you splurged money to buy a car with top speed of 300 kmph do you expect to drive at 60-80 kmph on our majestic national highways,??

The road from Basrur moorkai to Siddapura is a beautiful stretch, wide enough for vehicles to ply smoothly without any potholes. The traffic too is very scarce. Such accidents are either the result of rash/negligent driving or mechanical failure.

@Felix; this road doesn't even have a median line drawn on it, forget florescent reflectors and proper provision to halt servicevehicles(serviceroad), and what about overtaking when you are trapped behind a huge container vehicle or overloaded 🚚??

This highway doesn't even have a painted median line nor any service road to halt vehicles; overtaking big container lorries and trucks is a very tricky issue, on these so called highways, especially on bends!! Even a moderate speed, blunt, impact is enough to turn these cars into a bundle of metal!
