Deve Gowda, kin meet Modi: BJP-JD(S) seat sharing to be finalised

Bengaluru, Dec 21 (IANS): Former Prime Minister and JD(S) National President HD Deve Gowda met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday in New Delhi.

Sources said that they had final discussions regarding the BJP and JD(S) seat sharing alliance for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Deve Gowda's sons, former Chief Minister and JD(S) State President HD Kumaraswamy, former Minister and MLA HD Revanna, and grandson, JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna, were present.

Modi took to social media stating, “Always a delight to meet former PM HD Deve Gowda Ji, HD Kumaraswamy Ji and HD Revanna Ji. India greatly cherishes Deve Gowda Ji’s exemplary contribution to the nation’s progress. His thoughts on diverse policy matters are insightful and futuristic.”

However, Deve Gowda had earlier stated that the meeting would be informal and no discussion would be held regarding alliance and seat sharing.

Sources explained that the JD(S) is looking forward to contesting in four to five MP seats in the state and the matter is going to be settled and an official announcement would be made soon.

    Deve Gowda as PM had lot of good work to his credit -- but he did not spend a penny on media management -- The Elite of Delhi--what is now referred as LUTYENS DELHI -- ridiculed him -- (However now PM MODI has managed all this with GODI MEDIA --and Lutyens has become a pariah--) To SHRI GOWDA's credit Delhi metro -- J& K -- issues -- North east -- Many projects in karnataka -- outer ring road -- He was also making sure --of not allowing his family members take advantage of his being PM -- was quoted by Late IAS officer "Babudom and Netaland — Governance in India’’, a book written by TSR Subramaniam- ..Cabinet Secy- He surrounded himself with some legendary IAS [Indian Administrative Service] officers in his PMO, men of integrity and credibility, and that included T.R. Satish Chandran, T.S.R. Subramaniam, B.N. Yugandhar and S.S. Meenkashisundaram. He picked J.M. Lyngdoh and made him Election Commissioner. He gave an extension to A.P.J. Abdul Kalam [as Scientific Adviser to the Defence Minister], - met activists unlike now - -MEDHA PATKAR-Sunderlal Bahuguna -- and others -- was open and approachable- Unfortunately for SHRI DEVE GOWDA -- Filial affections has now taken over -- Family politics -- promoting family members who are most incompetent is leading to the downfall-- all or no ideolgy now -- corruption etc --

What an observation. This Gowda family is full of crooks and criminals. How this family amassed so much of wealth? Why no ED raids??? Recently lot of videos are coming out about MP Prajwal Revanna and Bhavani as to how they treated a family to confiscate 13 acres of land. Modi is against dynastic politics and hence Revanna, Kumaraswamy are not Deve Gowdas sons??? Prajwal is not son of Revanna?? Daal mein kuch kaala hai...BJP andhbakths to answer this. Even Karnataka Congress is also useless as they are not initiating any raid or probe against this Gowdas....Ultimately Chor machaaye shor...

    Wondering in what language did they communicate ?? The meeting was just for 1/2 hr but took nearly 12 hrs. It was very difficult for both of them to understand . And Kumar Swamy was just sheading tears as usual
