Mangaluru: Three drug peddlers arrested; MDMA, other items seized

Mangaluru, Dec 23: Bajpe police station's PSI Gurappa Kanti and personnel successfully apprehended three individuals attempting to evade authorities during a routine bike check.

Upon interrogation, the arrested individuals confessed to planning the sale of narcotics to customers.

The accused are identified as Annappaswamy alias Manu (23), a resident of Hosabettu; Mohammed Junaid, alias Junni (29), hailing from Manjeshwar; and M K Akasha, alias Madhava Kaushalya Akasha (24), residing in Kulai.

During the arrest, the police seized 6.27 grams of MDMA crystal, valued at Rs 30,000, along with the bike used for transportation and other related equipment from the trio.
