Kasaragod, Jan 2: Excise department sleuths arrested two persons who were transporting drugs on a bike under the guise of transporting parcels.
Aman Saajad (20) of Kudlu Neerchal and K M Ameer (34) of Adkatthabail are those who have been arrested.
The excise department officials seized as much as 12.53 grams of MDMA narcotic substance from them. The motorbike in which they were travelling has also been seized.
The Kasaragod excise department personnel, who were inspecting the vehicle, stopped the bike in which the accused were travelling and found narcotics.
Excise officials said that the accused were transporting narcotics in the name of parcel service. Both of them were brought to the Kasaragod court which ordered them to be remanded to judicial custody.
