Motivational journey of Jyoti Reddy from orphanage to entrepreneurship

Warangal, Jan 6: The life journey of Jyothi Reddy is an inspirational one. She was sent to an orphanage at the age of eight and married off at 16 by her father, who was a daily wage labourer.

Jyothi was the second child in a financially poor family with five children. She attended a government school while at the orphanage.

By the time she was 18, Jyothi had two children. She worked in paddy fields for a meagre Rs five per day. Taking advantage of a central government scheme, she entered the teaching profession. However, the income was insufficient, so she also took up tailoring work in the evenings.

Recognizing education as her way out, Jyothi earned a BA from Ambedkar Open University and a postgraduate degree from Kakatiya University. Despite these qualifications, her income remained a mere Rs 398 per month in 1998.

A relative in the US informed Jyothi about opportunities for software professionals, prompting her to take computer crash courses and relocate to the USA. The only heart-breaking aspect was leaving behind her two daughters in India.

Before securing a decent job as a recruitment professional, Jyothi worked various odd jobs, from a petrol pump attendant to babysitting.

In 2021, Jyothi had savings of USD 40,000 and started her own company, Key Software Solutions. The company experienced phenomenal growth, ultimately becoming a billion-dollar enterprise.

This example fits well to the saying 'where there is a will there is a way'. Very few parents know this, even if they can afford to fulfill every demand of children they always deprive them on unnecessary things and thus kids understand that they are not previldged. Forget about peer pressure in kids parents too listen to their peers easily.

A big salute to Jyothi Reddy. Result is the combination of brain & hard work. She also donated a lot of money to orphanage & poor. There is big difference between this Businesswoman and other business tycoons who want to roam as celebrity & to be treated as God. This lady, who is honest gave a big push to Lift People out of poverty, but others worked hard to push people INTO POVERTY by claiming / robbing farmers Products at cheapest rate.
