Kasargod: Rider loses life in car-scooter collision

Kasargod, Jan 7: A fatal accident occurred on Sunday evening at Sonkal near Uppala, resulting in the death of a scooter rider.

The deceased, identified as Muhammad (35) of Meenja Kajemule, had recently returned to the town after working in Goa. The accident occurred as Muhammad was delivering sand to his friend's house in Kodangai.

Following the collision between the car and scooter, Muhammad was thrown onto the road. Despite being rushed to a hospital in Uppala, his life could not be saved. Manjeshwar police conducted the inquest.

Muhammad's body has been placed in the mortuary of the taluk hospital in Mangalpady and will be handed over to the relatives after the post-mortem examination.
