Mangaluru: NSS unit of Srinivas College of Pharmacy celebrates National Youth Day

Mangaluru, Jan 17: Indian Pharmaceutical Association, Dakshina Kannada district local branch, Mangaluru, in association with NSS unit of Srinivas College of Pharmacy, Mangaluru celebrated National Youth Day on January 12.

Dr Anantha Krishna Bhat, president, Saraswathi Education and welfare Trust Meghalaya inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp and addressed the gathering. He deliberated extensively on the contribution made by Swami Vivekananda on the society. He advised the youth to follow the path of Swamiji to lead purposeful, meaningful life with moral values.

Dr A R Shabaraya, president, IPA, Mangaluru and principal and director, in his presidential remarks, outlined the contrubutions of Indians abroad, who are known for their hard work, determination, dedication and their contribution to the development of the society and nation in particular, where they stay and serving, he said.

Dr Shripathy D, professor and NSS coordinator outlined the importance of National Youth Day on January 12, welcomed and introduced the guests.

Dr E V S Subrahmanyam, professor and vice president, IPA, Mangaluru and Dr Krishnananda Kamath, professor, Srinivas College of Pharmacy were present during the programme.

Nireeksh and Vinutha anchored the programme. Josna Priya Lewis, Student Council president, proposed a vote of thanks.
