Bengaluru, Feb 10: BJP opposition leader R Ashok on Saturday demanded the 40% Commission charge by Contractors Association President Kempanna to CBI for a probe and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s resignation.

Speaking to media persons in Bengaluru, he said Kempanna’s charge on 40% commission under Congress government is a serious issue and Siddaramaiah has no moral right to continue in office.

The BJP leader pointed out that the Congress party had pasted PayCM posters when Kempanna had made similar charges against the previous BJP government headed by Basavaraj Bommai.

"What are they (Congress) going to do now,’’ he asked and pointed out that Rs 50 crore each was seized when IT Department had conducted raids on the residences of two Congress leaders, which proves that this is a 75% government.

The BJP leader, however, did not say anything about the inaction by Prime Minister Narendra Modi when complaints were sent to his office and Bommai government had not conducted any probe nor did it resign.

But Ashok asked whether Siddaramaiah would paste ATMSiddaramaiah posters now as he had done about Bommai by pasting PayCM posters and said the developers and builders are claiming that a commission of Rs 75 per sq ft is being collected.

The BJP opposition leader said Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has placed a White Paper on the 10-year Modi rule and also the 10-year misrule of Congress-led UPA regime.

When it was pointed out that the Chief Minister has offered to retire from politics if his claims on the financial injustice to Karnataka is proved wrong, Ashok said: “If the White Paper is wrong, let the Congress move a privilege motion against Sitharaman in Parliament,’’ he challenged.
