Traffic diversion, parking arrangements for state-level Congress workers' meet in M'luru on Feb 17

Mangaluru, Feb 16: The city police has ordered diversion of traffic during the state-level conference of Congress party workers at Sahyadri College grounds here on Feb 17.

The conference will be held beside Padil-Bantwal national highway 73 where the traffic density is likely to see a rise during the event.

  1. Heavy vehicles approaching from Udupi to B C Road / Bengaluru should proceed via Nantur, Pumpwelll, Thokkottu and Melkar.
  2. Heavy vehicles approaching from Bengaluru and B C Road to Mangaluru should proceed via Melkar, Mudipu, Thokkottu and Pumpwell.

The temporary diversion will be in force from 9 am on Feb 17 till the programme ends.

Parking arrangements

  1. Cars and motorcycles of dignitaries and public arriving from Bantwal should be parked at Kamath ground.
  2. Public cars arriving from Bantwal should be parked at Karmar ground, Adyar.
  3. Buses arriving for the programme from Bantwal should make the party workers get down near Kamath parking ground, proceed and take a U turn at Kannur and park at Mohtisham Sha ground.
  4. Cars of dignitaries arriving from Mangaluru should be parked at Adyar garden.
  5. Drivers of buses arriving from Mangaluru should make the party workers get down in front of Adyar garden, take a U Turn at Somanathakatte and park on Sha ground in front of Kannur mosque.
  6. Motorcycles arriving from the programme from Mangaluru should be parked on Adyar garden ground.

Vehicles can also be parked on the ground of Jayasheela at Adyar Katte.
