Bangalore: SAKK Elects New Committee for 2011-2012

Bangalore, Sep 27: The members of St Anne’s Konkan Kutaam (SAKK) got together to hold their sixth annual general body meeting (AGBM) at St Anthony’s Chapel on Sunday September 25.









Charles Gomez , former president of FKCA was the chief guest of the occasion. He shared his thoughts and experience of being on a committee. He emphasized that the participation and involvement of the members in managing a committee could helping in developing  and improving one’s own capabilities and skills such as communication, planning and organization, delegation of duties,  self-confidence, conducting meetings, and building social network. These aspects would eventually help groom peoples’ personality and life skills.

This year the SAKK introduced three new awards namely SAKK Talent Award, SAKK Special Award and SAKK Academic Excellence Award to recognize and appreciate the talent and contribution of SAKK members.

The SAKK members also elected the new executive committee for the year 2011-2012.

Minguel Lobo and family sponsored the expenses for the meeting.

The new executive committee of 2011-2012 comprises of  Gerald Pinto as president, James Miranda as vice-president, Mitchel Pinto as general secretary, Jyothika Lobo as joint secretary, Tony Pinto as treasurer, Santhosh Sequeira as cultural secretary, Dovin Fernandes as joint cultural secretary, Noel Fernandes as sports secretary, Jacintha Sequeira as joint sports Ssecretary, Rayan Miranda as youth secretary, Vijay Lobo as joint youth secretary and  Roshan D’Costa as media secretary.

The committee members are Anup Noronha, Barbara Mathias, Bridgith Lasrado, Enas D’Souza, Natalia D’Souza, Naveen Lewis and Romona Pinto.

    Kudos to Gerald Pinto and his team. Fr. Benjamine (former Asst. P.P.) and Col. Monis who took the initiative in forming the SAKK must be proud to see this report and the photographs. Good luck to the new utive committee. Thanks to Mr Minguel Lobo for your generosity and also to Daijiworld.
