Mangalore: Special Welcome for Air Passengers on 'World Tourism Day'

Mangalore, Sep 27: The tourism department, district administration, and Mangalore Association of Travels Agents, jointly organized ‘World Tourism Day’ celebrations at the airport here on Tuesday September 27.

Western range IGP Alok Mohan inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp. The passengers who came in on flights of Jet Airways and Kingfisher were welcomed by the IGP with flowers and sweets.
 
Roshan Pinto, president, Mangalore Association of Travel Agents, Louis J Pinto, Harish Kumar, Airport Director M R Vasudeva, and Rohini of information department, were present.

    Is this tourism day only for air travel passengers just b'cos they are coming mostly from gulf Europe or USA, why not welocome those who travel by busses or trains. Another crazy day like valentine day
